The classroom is more than an academic pursuit unto itself–it’s a place to discover and enter into the ongoing dialogue of thought and art.”

Nicholas Roux chairs the English Department at The Academy and also teaches philosophy and creative writing.

He attended Kenyon College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, with concentrations in Creative Writing and Humane Studies, and served as a student associate for The Kenyon Review. Roux maintains that "Giving students the ability to not only think critically about literature, but also their own and others artistic work, is a great part of teaching at The Academy. The classroom is more than an academic pursuit unto itself–it's a place to discover and enter into the ongoing dialogue of thought and art."
